The term Albedo refers to the reflectivity of an object in space. This refers to the amount of electromagnetic radiation that reflects away from earth, compared to the amount that gets absorbed.Here the albedo effect holds significant impact on the climate. The lower the albedo, the earth absorbs radiation from the sun and the more temperatures rise. If the albedo is higher, the earth is more reflective, and more of the radiation is returned to space and the planet therefore is cooler.
